During the latest lockdown we will remain open and patients should keep their appointments as arranged. You should not attend if it’s not safe for you to do so, for example if you have symptoms of Covid-19, are waiting to receive test results, or have been asked to self-isolate. If you are unable to attend, please ring us in advance rather than not attend, so we can reallocate your appointment time.
All at Sunlight Orthodontics would like to thank everyone for their patience whilst we’ve not been able to see you. We can assure you that we are fully compliant with all Covid-19 safe practice guidelines.
New lease of life for local orthodontic practice
(Posted on 26/03/12)
Sunlight Orthodontics, a friendly and welcoming practice based on the New Ferry-Port Sunlight border has recently reopened its doors to patients seeking a beautiful new smile, naturally. Children and adults alike are invited for consultations with the Specialist, Dr Joe Dwyer and his team.
Having been an orthodontic practice for thirty years, Dr Dwyer took over the business in 2010 with big plans to modernise the premises and bring it into the 21st century. After suffering a flood last year, Joe decided to get on with the renovations he’d wanted to start all along. The practice now boasts the latest in modern orthodontic equipment and kit, enabling Sunlight to offer the full range of treatments from traditional “train track” braces to Invisalign and even ‘lingual braces’, which are fitted to the back of the teeth rendering them virtually invisible.
A local himself, originally from Birkenhead, Joe qualified in Dentistry in 1997 and went on to gain his M.Orth at Sheffield. He has now been working in the specialist field of orthodontics for 8 years. He is keen to provide a friendly, accessible and high quality service to his own community and Sunlight Orthodontics is the perfect platform for this.
Joe said, “I was lucky enough to inherit a well-informed, experienced and forward-thinking team when I took over. I have also introduced the role of Treatment Co-ordinator which has been eagerly filled by Sue Williams. Sue ensures that all new patients enquiring about braces are given plenty of time and attention. When patients decide to go ahead with treatment, she is there for them all the way along their journey. No query is too small.”
More and more adults are opting for braces as a way to gain their ideal smile – Sunlight Orthodontics is now the Wirral’s go-to practice for new, innovative and highly effective treatments in a relaxed yet professional environment. With affordable fees and the introduction of 0% finance, Joe and his team are making the dream of straight teeth a reality for so many people.
